Search Tyres by Vehicle Registration
Are you looking for Tyre Labelling for your vehicle?
It is compulsory that all new tyres have an EU label attached, so they can be sold legally in the UK. The label provides information regarding a tyre’s performance metrics. In May 2021, the EU tyre label got a few updates to provide even more details.
At Europit Tyres, we stock high quality car tyres Hatfield with proper EU labels. Further, you will find tyres of all price ranges at our store.
To help you make an informed decision, here is an overview of an EU Tyre Label, which informs you about the following parameters.
This rating indicates the stopping distance of a tyre in wet conditions. Tyres are rated between letters A and E, where an A-rated tyre performs the best, while an E-rated tyre has the worst wet grip.
It informs you about a tyre’s fuel efficiency and is also measured between A and E. While A-grade (marked green) tyres provide superior fuel efficiency, E-grade (marked in red) tyre delivers the least fuel economy.
After the recent update, noise emission is marked A-C instead of sound bars and is measured in decibels.
Apart from these, you will also come across the following indicators in the EU tyre label-
- Severe snow condition pictogram or 3PMSF (Three Peak Mountain Snowflake)
- Grip in snowy conditions for C1 tyres only
